Title
These Hiwin spec linear guide blocks are interchangeable with Hiwin manufactured rail blocks. .HIWIN Spec Linear Guide Blocks. Shipped from the USA. Fast shipping and quick delivery. Warranty and Support available.
These are the carriage blocks that you will need in order to properly secure your machine to the HIWIN rails. This guide block moves along the rail with minimal deflection in either direction. The general size specification is 20mm. The guide block contains a plastic insert that should not be removed until it is placed on the rail. It will also come with a grease nipple that can be installed on either side of the block. You can use a 5/32” hex wrench to install. Mounting dimensions: 40mm and 53mm. The overall dimensions are 75.5mm x 63mm. The mounting holes on the block are threaded for M6 screws. To insert the block onto the rail you want to make sure the sharp points of the rail are located facing up. There are ball bearings inside the block which is why the plastic piece remains inside to hold the bearings in place. Use the grease nipple to grease the rail before movement.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Do you know if the HiWin 20mm blocks will fit other chinese precision rails? Also do you sell the 15mm blocks?

Our HIWIN spec bearing blocks will fit true HIWIN rails, but I can't vouch for any other rails that are provided by other suppliers.

  • do you have hiwin blocks without flanges HGH20

We only have the HIWIN spec blocks with the flanges at this time. Are you looking for a high quantity, or just a few?

  • do you have CAD available for the hiwin guide blocks you sell and the rail?

We don't have cad models of the HIWIN blocks, but you can find the models on McMaster.com. They have can drawings and models for most of these types of parts.

  • I recieved 2 hiwin linear rails in a tube with tape on it that says recieved in damaged condition. I got 2 rails 2 zerk fittings, no bearing blocks or lead screw. And technically I should have 2 more zerk fittings

Was there an opening in the tube upon arrival? Did the tube look like it was wrapped up by the shipper due to the damage that occurred? I am suspecting that the package was damaged by the shipper and the tube suffered an opening where the parts may have fallen out. Make sure to take many pictures of the damaged package condition so a claim can be generated.

  • How can i get a complete list of all the components (electronics) I need for a CNC laser cutter with the laser controller? A wiring Diagram would probably be very helpful.

All the options for and variations of our blackTooth laser cutter/engraver are available on our website here https://buildyourcnc.com/blackToothLaserCutterAndEngraver.aspx#prettyPhoto. The wiring diagram is available here: https://buildyourcnc.com/blackToothLaserCutterAndEngraver.aspx#prettyPhoto/0/ We do not offer plans or a bill of materials for our machines at this time, but if you are interested in doing your own from scratch you can learn a lot about the design and build process from our tutorials. We wish you success in your endeavors.

  • How can I determine which wires on my stepper motor bellong to A+ A- B+ or B-?

You can use a multimeter to determine the wires of the same coil (i.e A+ and A- belong to he same coil). The wires that are connected on the same coil will have relatively low resistance. A wire from one coil to another coil with have no continuity since the two coils are not touching each other.

  • hi, i ordered a bunch of stuff from you, the payment went through, it's been 3 weeks, any word on shipping date, I ordered 6 linear rails with block and some sprockets

John Parent, We are currently waiting for rails to come in as they are out of stock. We appreciate your patience. Please email customerservice@buildyourcnc.com and let us know if there is anything we can do.

  • Hi i'm looking to upgrade my rail system along my X-axis which is 10 ft. Im wondering what it takes or if it is even possible to join two HIWIN guidways together to make up the 10' run.

Yes, we do that with our machines. You can use the rail blocks to serve as the alignment mechanism. If you have a slight misalignment, the block will not pass that joint. Make sure you use the same rail from the same supplier.

  • Have your 20mm rail and blocks. Is there a special grease that you recommend for the blocks or is general chassis lube OK?

You can use grease, low-viscosity grease or oil. Your application may need to be considered. Here is a document on the lubricating instructions from HIWIN: https://www.hiwin.com/pdf/lubricating_instructions.pdf Section 4 of this document relates specifically to the lubrication of linear guideways like the ones we carry.
