5K Potentiometer Panel Mount

A three terminal resistor that serves as a voltage divider and a variable resistor (rheostat). Also functions as a position transducer when operated by a mechanism. Perfect for Joystick modding. The potentiometer can be used as a voltage divider to obtain a manually adjustable output voltage at the slider from a fixed input voltage applied across the two ends of the potentiometer. Potentiometers are also very widely used as a part of displacement transducers because of the simplicity of construction and because they can give a large output signal. Potentiometers can also be used as position feedback devices for motion control.
