FTDI TTL-232R USB to UART (Serial) Converter allows you to communicate through USB if you don't have a serial port.
This device will provide a Tx (Transmit) and Rx (Receive) functionality and 5 volt power from the computer through the USB. We have replaced the old version of this product to a newer, easier-to-use board that doesn't require soldering. Simply plug a micro USB cable (not included) into the board and the USB cable into your computer.
