This is our largest Cable Carrier we carry with an inside diameter of 2 inches (50.8 mm) x 0.87 inches (22.1 mm). A cable chain is a chain of links that carry your cables, tubes, hoses and conduit so you don't have the possibility of the these cables and other things catching on parts of the machine. The cable carrier runs along the axis and you will need a little more than half of the axis travel length, depending on how your motion and axis is designed. To determine the length of cable carrier you will need for a single axis, measure the axis travel of your machine, divide this by 2 and add 12 inches. The radius of the curl is 2 inches. I am looking to use this type of thing with a pipe for theater. Where the pipe can be lowered and it would have electrical and signal cable inside. Is this good for that or should I look at something else?
This would totally work for that application. This cable carrier is used for any object that needs to move and carries some electrical or tubing within it. This cable carrier is great for cable management where you want to make sure the wires and tubes are in a position that you set, not where the wires and tubing want to go.
