Introduction:

ADXL345 3-Axis Accelerometer. Measures shock, tilt, force, acceleration, and gravity up to 16gs. Interface using I2C or SPI for assured accuracy.

Description:

An accelerometer measures the amount of gravity. Great for robotics, measuring tilt and shock, this 3-Axis accelerometer gauges gravity up to 16 Gs. This board will give you the power to create a self balancing robot, a model airplane that flies on autopilot, a G-Force detector, the possibilities are endless!

The module will support single and double tap detection as well as activity-inactivity monitoring. Utilizes high resolution measurement (13 bit) and ultra-low power consumption. For use with a 3.3v power supply only

Features:

  • SPI or I2c communication.
  • Designed for 3.3v power supply only.
  • Memory management system with a 32-level FIFO buffer to store data with minimized host processor activity.
  • Ultralow power consumption: 40 µA in measurement mode and 0.1 µA in standby mode.
  • High resolution enables measurement of inclination changes less than 1.0°.
  • Ready-to-use examples save development time.
